Marketing experts have come up with a number of strategies to attract customers. These strategies are often hidden, which makes them all the more effective.

The following are the 5 most used methods:

  1. Product Placement
Product placement occurs when a brand places their product in a way that makes it seem like they’re endorsing the product. In some cases, this could mean placing a product in a TV show or movie, while others may use product placement to place a product in a commercial.
  2. Product Integration
Product integration is when a brand integrates its products with other brands. For example, if a company sells a pair of shoes, it might integrate them with a specific bag or wallet. This helps build trust between the consumer and the brand.
  3. Brand Extension
Brand extension happens when a brand extends its name beyond just selling a single product. For example, if I were to buy a car, I would probably expect the car to have good gas mileage, great safety features, and be reliable. However, if I bought a car from a different manufacturer, I’d likely expect the same things.
  4. Brand Ambush
A brand ambush is when a brand comes out of nowhere and starts marketing a product without any prior knowledge about the market. This is done to catch consumers off guard and make them feel like they’ve been tricked.
  5. Cross-Promotion
Cross promotion is when two or more companies work together to promote each other’s products. For example, if you go to a restaurant and order food, you’ll often get a free appetizer. This is a cross-promotional strategy where the restaurant gives away free food to customers who purchase certain items.
